We have been approved to adopt the kitty we've been wooing at PetsMart. His name is Jakob, he's 5 years old, coal black, looks like he weighs maybe 12 lb. and DD absolutely adores him. He was a stray before someone took him to the Lakeland Animal Rescue Center in Elkhorn, WI, last year. He's been at our nearby PetsMart for at least a few weeks. ( Read more... )

1. Well, here it is again. Supposedly the weather will be reasonably not-cold this week, but also rather unsettled. Ugh. And did I mention we've had 60 inches of snow this winter? 1. Darling Daughter had Thursday and Friday off from school because of the statewide teachers' convention that happens this time every year. I worked on Thursday but took a vacation day yesterday and hung out with her.
